Pendulothecium punctatum has distinctive dark-green, branching shoots with leaves flattened left and right along the branches and is easily mistaken for a liverwort. However, the presence of a faint vein (nerve) that terminates about mid leaf identifies it as a moss.
Widespread in New Zealand in moist areas.
