Pendulothecium oblongifolium has erect to prostrate stems that branch in one plane to form dark green fronds. Leaves are undulate and distinctively oblong, being narrowest at about mid-leaf. There is a strong nerve (vein) reaching almost to the leaf tip
Widespread in New Zealand in moist forest on exposed roots, soil and rock.
