Weymouthia mollis is a pendant moss with pale green stems that are more slender than those of W. coclearifolia being about 1.5 mm wide and have a softer texture. The leaf is about three times as long as wide.
Widespread in New Zealand commonly found hanging from branches of trees and shrubs in moist forest.
