Fallaciella graclis forms mats of creeping, branching stems. Leaves are 0.50–1.30 mm long, 0.25–0.65 mm wide, ovate, shallowly concave and often have a few papillae on the lower surface.
Widespread in New Zealand in moist forest, forming dense, flat mats on rock or rarely on the bases of trees.
