Chiloscyphus lentus is distinguished by its symmetrical smooth-margined leaves that are divided at the apex into two sharply tapering lobes; underleaves are deeply cut with 2-4 lobes
A common endemic species found throughout New Zealand in lowland forest on logs, bark, trunks.
