Bazzania adnexa forms dark green mats of many-branched stems with overlapping leaves with strongly curved margins and truncate, 3-toothed tips. Underleaves are large and broadly ovate with inflexed corners giving a triangular appearance.
Found in damp to dry forest throughout New Zealand and is the commonest forest liverwort in New Zealand
