Notogrammitis patagonica has a long -creeping stem (rhizome) bearing linear fronds that have a distinct stalk (stipe). Both frond blade and stalk are are covered in long, coarse hairs.
Found throughout New Zealand mostly in mountain regions on rock faces or occasionally on the ground.
Formerly known as Grammitis patagonica.
