Lindsaea viridis is a terrestrial fern with a creeping stem (rhizome) bearing erect, narrow to elliptic, yellow-green fronds with broad, blunt-ended leaflets.
An uncommon endemic fern found on the North Island and western lowland forest of the South Island on rocky, damp shady stream banks.
